Ce soir je viens de regarder le dernier spectacle de GAD en DVD.
Comme toujours, GAD Elmaleh a vraiment fait un super sketch. Le spectacle a commencer plutôt bien, a eu des moment très drôle et des moments de musique. GAD a même repris des scène des derniers sketch, comme la chanson du P’tit Oiseau, ou bien “Y-a des jolies filles dans la salle…mais pas autant!”

Lutte contre la discrimination, l'Internet pour TOUT le monde!
Mettons-nous à l’essentiel! Les personnes handicapées devraient avoir les mêmes droits que tout le monde. Et devraient être en mesure d’accéder à l’information disponible sur l’Internet facilement.
Donc nous, en tant que bloggers, les concepteurs de sites Web, les programmeurs Web, ne devrait pas discriminer les personnes handicapées. Et pour cela, nous devons créer des sites web accessibles et des pages Web accessibles. Il existe des normes qui ont été inventé et mis en œuvre, ainsi que des navigateurs Internet ont été créés pour que les personnes handicapées surfe sur Internet comme les autres. Mise en œuvre de ces normes dans vos objectifs de conception, permettra à votre site (ou blog) l’accessibilité.
La Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) vise à mettre fin à la discrimination que de nombreuses personnes handicapées font face.
Actuellement, Gibni.com est un site qui répond à presque toutes les normes d’accessibilité. Cela signifie que, les personnes handicapées peuvent également surfer Gibni.com facilement et de profiter de ces articles, des discussions, des fonctionalitées, et des outils.
Chaque fois que je commence à concevoir un site Web ou blog modèle (Blog Template), je pense à ces normes et je fais de mon mieux pour leur mise en œuvre dans mon projet.
Pour faire d’Internet un endroit meilleur, je vous suggère de commencer à mettre en œuvre ces normes dans vos dessins et modèles de codes afin de faire votre information accessible à tous!
Ce sont des premières choses à faire:
1 – Vérifier les images pour un texte de substitution (alt = “” attribut de la balise img!)
2 – Vérifier les images de décoration pour un texte de substitution, comme les frontières, les coins, d’origines …
3 – Vos formulaires doivent être accessibles. (Fournir alt = “” pour les input, l’étiquette de votre formulaire, celui de ces éléments …)
4 – Votre texte doit être redimensionnable. Cela signifie que l’utilisateur devrait être en mesure de rendre votre texte plus grand ou plus petit dans son navigateur.
5 – Définir l’attribut “TabIndex” pour les contenues cliquables ou sélectionnables important et les éléments de la page, afin que les utilisateurs puissent naviguer dans votre site sans souris.
6 – Utiliser des raccourcis clavier pour les principales fonctionnalités de votre site.
7 – Utilisez un plan du site. Les utilisateurs ne devraient pas se perdre dans votre site!
8 – Faites vos liens comprehensible par l’homme.Ils doivent avoire de sens.
9 – Si vous avez du contenue son ou du vidéo, fournissez des sous-titres ou des transcriptions du son.
Il ya beaucoup d’articles écrits sur le sujet, vous pouvez donc apprendre rapidement et facilement comment le faire juste. Il suffit de rechercher en utilisant votre moteur de recherche préféré.

Fight Against Discrimination, Make the internet for EVERY ONE!
Let’s get straight to the point! Disabled people should have the same rights as everyone else. And should be able to access the information available on the internet easily.
So we as bloggers, web designers, web programmers, should not discriminate disabled people. And for this, we should create Accessible websites and webpages. There are standards which have been invented and implemented, as well as special internet browsers were created to let disabled people surf the internet as others do. Implementing these standards in your design objectives, will ensure your website’s (or blog) accessibility.
The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) aims to end the discrimination that many disabled people face.
Currently, Gibni.com is a standard website which complies to almost all accessibility standards. That means, disabled people can also surf Gibni.com easily and benefit from it’s articles, discussions, features, and tools.
Every time I start a website design or weblog template design, I think about these standards and I do my best in implementing them into my project.
To make the internet a better place, I suggest that you start implementing these standards in your designs and codes so you make your information available to EVERY ONE!
These are first things to do:
1- Check images for alternative text (the alt=”" attribute of the img tag!)
2- Check decorative images for alternative text, like borders, corners, backgrounds…
3- Your forms should be accessible. (Provide alt=”" for inputs, label your form elements…)
4- Your text should be resizable. Means that the user should be able to make your text bigger or smaller in his/her browser.
5- Define tabindex attribute for clickable or selectable important content and page elements, so that users can navigate your site without a mouse.
6- Use keyboard shortcuts for main functionalities of your site.
7- Use a sitemap. Users should not get lost in your site!
8- Make your links human-understanable so they make sense.
9- If you have Audio or Video content, provide subtitles or transcripts of the audio.
There are a lot of articles written on this subject, so you can learn fast and easy how to do it right. Just search using your favorite search engine.

Here we’ve got a simple and small question.

We asked them why they think it’s “LEFT” and not “right”?
They said: “Because you can’t see the bus’s door! so it goes towards the left side!”

This question and its answer are right for most of the countries. For countries like the UK or India where the wheel of the car is on the right side, the answer is “right”.

Optimizing Global Translator Plugin for WordPress
UPDATE: Version 0.2 released
In the new theme designed for Gibni.com, one of the main goals is to attain maximum speed and shorter page loading times. This post is for people who have the basics of website optimizations. In this post, I’ll discuss a very popular WordPress Plugin, Global Translator, made by www.Nothing2Hide.net, which is used to provide translated version of your blog to visitors. This plugin improved a lot over time, and it gives better and better results after each upgrade. Latest version till date is 1.0.7.1, which is a stable version.
In the process of optimizing my website, I found out that this plugin consumes a large amount of loading time and keeps pages in a loading state for a long period of time, and it makes many connections busy between the client and the server to download all the flag pictures to the client’s computer. This slows down the page as there’s a limited number of simultaneous connections allowed between the client and the server. On the other side, this increases the ‘account hits’ on shared hosting plans.
To make the plugin and the page load and respond faster, I’ve thought of a solution, which is: instead of the plugin sending multiple small image files, it should send a merged image file containing all the required flag images and generate an image map to build the links.
First of all, I’ll stick to a specific model, which is a single line bar. The functions are easy to understand an you can build any shape you want.
Now I’ve to edit Global Translator’s core to give flag images to the merging script. and then create an image map for the translator bar.
After a lot of tests, I finally figured it out! You can find the code for ‘translator.php’ in the Page.
My modified PHP, will generate a fresh PNG file upon user request and store it in the root directory and then creates an image map to create the links for the translator. The good news is everything remains dynamic and if you change the combination of translations available, the PNG and Image Map will change automatically too!
There are still improvements to be done, for example, forcing the code to create the PNG file in the plugins directory and not the site root! So, if you have any ideas, just let me know!

There are a lot of softwares out there for Symbian platform and they get more and more everyday. I’ve started to test some of the best ones on my own Nokia N95 8GB phone and the ones that qualify, are listed in these series of posts. There’s been 2 parts previously and I should tell you that some of those softwares and applications have become obsolete and either their functionalities are included in new Firmware release or There’s been no update of the said applications till date. 3D Tag Cloud For WordPress
I’ve recently installed a new Tag Cloud on Gibni.com, If you look well, you should already have noticed it.
It’s a 3D Sphere tag cloud! it’s based on a flash file but the real knowledge behind makes it completely search engine friendly. This is basically a plugin called WP-CUMULUS made by Roy Tanck. The Plugin is hosted now on WordPress.org -> Plugin’s page.
I found this very exciting and as it does not interfere with search engine friendliness factors, I decided to add it to my new theme. I would recommend it as a good plugin as you can really customize it.

Randonnée Etudiante Villers-lès-Nancy
Le Samedi 18 Octobre, j’ai organiser une randonnée pedestre avec la participation du conseil de quartier et le Pôle Actions Jeunesse de Villers-lès-Nancy.
Cette randonnée avait pour but de faire connaitre Villers-les-Nancy aux étudiants nouveaux dans le quartier. On est partie a 15h00 de la résidence univérsitaire du Placieux, on a traverser le chateau de Rémi Court, le parc de Mme De Grafigny et on est allé sur le plateau, d’ou on avaient une vue magnifique sur la ville de Nancy! On est passé par le parc de Brabois et puis on a fait une pause au Pôle Actions Jeunesse, où le conseil de quartier Placieux-Mairie nous avaient preparé un buffet pour qu’on se rafrachissent et les etudiants ont faient connaissance avec les responsables du PAJ et ont été presenté avec les activites du PAJ.
On a vue beaucoup des paysages magnifiques et heureusement qu’il fesait beau ce jour la!
